I am ... really confused about Malia. Like, she spent 8 years in the body and mind of a coyote. The last time she was human was when she was ... 8? 9? 10? She has barely an education. She's had no human contact at all. She didn't have a chance to emotionally grow up. Maybe on an instinctual level, but still. Excuse me but - how can she be in any way the teenager she seems to be? Wouldn't she have problems with speech? Human behaviour? (No, the showering and lack of modesty is not enough.) With being a teenager? (Sex? *coughs*) I kind of like her, but I'm just really confused because I expected something entirely different? And maybe a little disappointed, because they could've made this really interesting.

Are there any explanations/theories for this?

Magic? Possession by Teen Coyote spirit?

I'm confused about that too. I somehow expected they would handle it a bit like Grimm did, where the teenage girl who spent all the years alone in the wilderness after she was abducted as a kid was much more Blutbad than human and had to learn how to be a human teenager.

I don't watch Grimm, but yes, that's what I was expecting too. Not only would that have made more sense, it would've made for a pretty interesting story arc. But I guess they expect us to just handwave at Malia's state? (I wouldn't even be surprised if they put her into High School with the rest of the gang after the whole drama is over.)

good to know that I'm not the only one wondering about this. I want to like her too, but it has been written very badly (the UNPROTECED sex scene was the worst)and I guess Jeff Davis hasn't thought about this at all.

The "sex scene" just came so out of left-field? Idk, a lot of people think they only made out with each other which is what I'm choosing to believe because everything else is just too ugh. I'm assuming that Jeff Davis doesn't think much about anything in his show.

I'd like to believe that too, but then it doesn't make sense that they took off their shirts? and when the screen fades to black it usually implies a sex scene...

I'm so sad because the beginning of Teen Wolf was really really good and now it seems to go a bit downhill?

I still enjoy Allison and Lydia and KIRA OMGASDFHDKFJ but... Idk. I don't even really ship Sterek anymore (welcome Sterek, sit down next to Destiel, I don't like the both of you anymore because of Fandom wheeee!)

Well, you can still make out or have non-penetrating sex with your shirts off, but I agree that the scene just gave off very mixed signals and I was pretty confused myself what had happened afterwards.

I mostly enjoy TW for the females only these days and Dylan's great acting, but then, I never was that emotionally invested. It's a nice horror-ish TV show if you don't look too closely at the plotholes. (Yeah, Sterek feels just so meh mostly because it's so overhyped by the fandom, but still not quite as bad as Destiel.)

The most people think it is lazy writing but there is also a theory that Malia meets humans during her time as coyote and so she learned some stuff.

I'm guessing it's lazy writing, but the theory that she met humans during her time as coyote would at least explain some things.
