I did enjoy being as jerk-assy/morally ambiguous as I could get away with, though. The first time I played, that's what I did and I guess it's the best way to get the best of both sides.
And it was immensely gratifying to personally execute Loghain. The first time - yes, very much so. The second time (which was just yesterday) and after having read The Stolen Throne - not so much. I really wanted to let him live, because I felt so sorry for him, but since I wanted to play the Cousland/Alistar-kitsch!ending, I couldn't. *sighs* This game has hooked me way too much.
