Dear Avengers movie ...

DU BIST PERFEKT MAKELLOOOOS DU BIST BESSER ALS GUT

I went to see The Avengers it for the third time yesterday ([livejournal.com profile] 3ngel, I totally caught up with you :P) and it JUST GETS BETTER EVERY FUCKING TIME. It gives me feelings of STEEEEEVE and TONY and BRUCE and OMG NATASHA MARRY ME and CLIIIIINT and COULSON and THOR YOU GIANT LABRADOR and FURY BADASSERY and EVERYTHING. SHAKING AND CRYING. It's so flawless that I still can't wrap my mind around it, because GUYS, THIS IS A FLAWLESS MOVIE OF PERFECTION.

And just to get it out of the way: TONY/STEVE EMOTIONS ALL THE WAY. The bitching and the UST in the beginning and then their low blows at each other and OMG TONY'S LOOK AT THEIR "Stop acting like a hero"-CONVERSATION. AAAAANGST. Kill me already.

I know there were people out there who were really furious at Steve's words, but I think that a) part of it was clearly sparked by Loki's scepter which had everyone going slightly nuts. And b) THIS IS WHY STEVE AND TONY NEED EACH OTHER GUYS.

Yes, Steve's words were a low blow, but they were both lashing out blindly at each other in the beginning. Steve is confused and disoriented in this new world and then Tony comes and speaks Steve's issues out loud: "who's in a skintight costume and completely useless?" That is just as mean a remark for Tony to say, but it also takes Steve out of his passiveness, stops his readiness to just follow orders, to get back into life again and act on his own.

And just like Tony pushes Steve, you know that Steve's words of "you're not one to lie on a wire to let others crawl over you" are what pushes Tony not to just "cut the wire" but actually sacrifice himself to bring the bomb through the portal. And while that is not entirely a good effect, Steve pushes Tony in his own way, and okay, they just really, really need and complement each other in every perfect way possible and they are wonderful Superhusbands of Awesomeness. I am so invested in this pairing it's ridiculous.

Also: FLYING MONKEYS REFERENCE AND STEVE'S HAPPY LOOK. I COULD DIE.

I'm not even going to comment on the obvious science bromance between Tony and Bruce, because other people have done that already in much better words. Let me just say that it was delightful and I'd never thought that I would LOVE Bruce (and the Hulk!) as much as I did in this movie. <3

Can we also agree that Black Widow needs her own movie, in which she needs to kick some people's butts half of the time, and the other half she interrogates people with her "I'm such a vulnerable woman - NOT" tactics and has awesome interaction with Clint. Yes? YES?

Coulson's death doesn't get any easier, even after three times. :((((( *cries* He was such an adorable FANBOY OMG.

Still - I'M THE HAPPIEST FANGIRL IN THE WORLD.

und es gibt schon Gerüchte, dass The Avengers 2 der Civil War storyline folgen könnte ಠ__ಠ NO PLEASE NO

I've just seen it the second time now and it finally feels real now and - pretty much what you said, with an extra dose of OH TONY. And how Steve and Tony push each other so far out of their comfort zones and how - I mean, they both have this connection without ever having met and have heard about each other and have all these expectations and then they just... ARGH.

But what got me even more was the scene after... well. The attack on the helicarrier and Fury's there with those fucking CARDS (manipulative bastard) and during the whole scene you can just SEE it working inside Tony, all these feelings and he's probably blaming himself and oh, god, and when Steve asks if that's the first soldier he lost and Tony just breaks, and so does my heart.

Hach ja, wem erzählst du das... <3
