Code Geass

Well, damn if that wasn't fucking awesome. Death Note meets Mecha anime meets a little bit of Watchmen.

Best anime I've seen in a while. (Even if it is a neverending Pizza Hut commercial. XD)

...and I thought two-sentence entries couldn't get more confusing than what I just posted. Pizza Hut commercial? *g*

What. This entry makes perfect sense if you've seen the anime. XD

Sounds like fun!

OIC. Argh, now I want pizza.

Code Geass is absolutely insane. It's 20% terrorism, 20% giant robots, 35% fanservice, 15% fabulousness, and 10% pizza. I didn't watch the first series all the way through because the wacky plotting/pacing started to wear on me after a while, but part of me will always be a bit in love with Jeremiah Gottwald.

That's the best summary of Code Geass I've ever seen. *g*
The fanservice made me facepalm and the pizza mostly just lol. I had trouble getting into the first half of series 1 because of the things you mentioned, but the second half and especially series 2 got me really hooked. Ikd, I just have this thing for megalomaniac main characters (re: Death Note) and I love the elements of surprise in Lelouch's strategies. Gottwald is awesome, I'm glad he made it through the series alive!

Yes! That's pretty much why I watched it. I might try to get into it again some day, actually. It was like Death Note on a sugar rush.
