Loathing, it's so pure it's so stroooong
What is this feeling? from Wicked is my favourite song at the moment. Like, I could listen to it all day long. There are hilarious music videos for it as well, such as this Harry/Draco one which is perfection. I WANT A MAIK FRANZ/MARIO GOMEZ VID LIKE THAT SO BADLY YOU HAVE NO IDEA. WAAAANNNNT. Maik is totally Elphaba, although it would work with him as Galinda (>>>blond) too.

Twilight Just kiddin. ;P
Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.
Two of my favourite authors put together, plus an indefinite amount of delicious Apocalypse crack - YES. It's very hard to actually make me laugh with a book (occasional chortling or giggling set aside), but this had me grinning and smiling to myself all the while I was reading it. The ideas are brilliant, the characters wonderful and it's definitely one of my favourite books ever. Come to think of it - I really need to read this again.
ETA: Vollidiot by Tommy Jaud (in English something like "Complete Idiot")
Simon Peters is a complete loser: his girlfriend left him and he's on the verge of turning 30, which leaves him a little confused and messed up. He desperately tries to get laid again and well, ends up behaving like a complete idiot.
How could I forget that one? It's hilarious and actually, yeah, I did laugh through half of it. It's completely dumb and trivial literature, but fulfills its purpose with brilliance: it entertains. The sequel "Millionär" (Millionaire) is almost just as good.
