Totally snagged from
phoenixmaedchen.
1) What author do you own the most books by?
Martha Schlinkert, actually, but I don't read them anymore (they're very old children's books).
2) What book do you own the most copies of?
None. I tend to buy things only once.^^ Although I do need to buy HP 2 and 3 in English.
3) What fictional character in a book are you secretly in love with?
Draco Malfoy. Sirius Black. (But ... secretly? XDDD)
4) What book have you read more than any other?
Harry Potter.
5) What was your favorite book when you were 10-years-old?
Maybe the Bummi-series? Or the Knickerbocker-Bande? I don't really know. I was never someone who had just one favourite book.
6) What is the worst book you've read in the past year?
"42" by Thomas Lehr. God, that was awful. And Twilight, of course. XD
7) What is the best book you've read in the past year?
"The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. So wonderfully written, sad and beautiful. *sighs*
8) If you could tell everyone you know to read one book, what would it be?
Just one? That's difficult. It used to be the Neschan-trilogy by Ralf Isau, but I don't know, if I would still rec that. Maybe the Neverending Story by Michael Ende? (Currently reading and oh, it's fantastic.)
9) What is the most difficult book you've ever read?
"42". That's because it was horribly written and pretentious.
10) Do you prefer the French or the Russians?
None.
11) Shakespeare, Milton or Chaucer?
Since I don't know either of the other two: Shakespeare.
12) Austen Or Eliot?
I like the "Pride & Prejudice" movie, but I cannot say anything about either of the author's works.
13) What is the biggest or most embarrassing gap in your reading?
There are probably are lots of them. But - honestly? I'm only human and I cannot (have) read everything.
14) What is your favorite novel?
As I already said: it used to be the Neschan-Trilogy, but I don't know, if I would still say this today. (I really nead to re-read this. *mutters*)
15) Play?
Kabale und Liebe! It's like a soap opera, only ironic and with political criticism! *hearts*
16) Poem?
None in particular. I'm more of a lyrics-person.
17) Essay?
No idea. *shrugs*
18) Short story?
Guts by Chuck Palahniuk. XD and Der Tunnel by Friedrich Dürenmatt. Creepy and thoughtful.
19) Non-fiction?
Since it's the only non-fiction book I have read/am reading: Cosa Nostra by John Dickie.
20) Graphic novel?
Can I also name mangas? XD Hm, I'm not a very big fan of western comics (yes, COMICS - call them by their names, it's not a shame :P).
21) Memoir?
None.
22) History?
The Falco-series by Lindsey Davis - if that's historical enough.
23) Mystery or noir?
I hardly read any of both genres, although both sound cool. O_o Maybe I should get myself some books.
24) Science fiction?
Achtung Zeitfalle by Andreas Schlüter? I used to love it, when I was younger.
25) Who is your favorite writer?
Chuck Palahniuk. Terry Pratchett. Neil Gaiman. Ralf Isau. JKR.
26) Who is the most overrated writer alive today?
Wolfgang Hohlbein. Repetitive, pretentious, loveless, crappy. And SMeyers, of course. *g*
27) What are you reading right now?
The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. <333333333333
