Why can't I watch things the way normal people do?

*watches S.W.A.T. on TV*
Me: Is that Colin Farrell?
A moment later: Is that Jeremy Renner? *flails a little*
Fifteen minutes in to the movie: Holy shi- is that Nick Fury Samuel L. Jackson?
*Samuel L. Jackson needs to put together his own SWAT team with five people of his choice*
My mind: *starts playing Nick Fury's voice-over from the Avengers trailer in her head* "There was an idea ... to bring together a group of remarkable people ..."
Me: Now if there's Scarlett Johansson in there, too ...
Samuel L. Jackson: *recruits men for his team* *recruits also a kickass woman played by Michelle Rodriguez*
Me: And there we have our Black Widow.

(Btw, the movie was actually really good.)

Petrellicest

Because I needed distraction from the Avengers I'm rewatching Heroes season 1 and have had a bit of a relapse into my favourite fandom thing: fictional ~brotherly love~. The Petrelli boys are seriously one of the most touchy-feely brothers I've ever seen. It's like they have no concept of personal space whatsoever and come on, they're pretty much shipping themselves:

Peter: He’s my brother. I love him.
Angela: Oh, gah. Love is overrated.
Peter: And he loves me too. I know it. We’ve always been close.
Angela: Rose-colored glasses. [...] I'm sorry if the truth hurts. I'm just saying you hero-worshiped him. And those feelings were never returned.
Peter: You're wrong. It's biological, and I can't help it. We're ... we're connected.

*dies*

So here are a few recs, because I've made the peculiar experience that there's hardly any good fic about them. I don't know if it's just me being picky, but something always feels off, when I read about them.
