Also: ficrec. Because all the cool kids are doing it and I read some very nice stuff lately. :) Mostly Supernatural, because, I dunno, I miss the times when this show was still epic and made me care. (And why has no one ever told me how practical and great podfic is? I feel like the last person on earth to discover this, but it's like reading fanfic - while being able to do other stuff at the same time! :D)

In which Dean has been mute since the fire and everything that happens during season 1 takes a different course of events. I discovered this fic through a podfic (the link to it should be in the first part) and found it really enjoyable.

Lunatic Fringe by whatiserin
The strange man was starting to get on his nerves. It was one thing to get in her personal space. It was another to look under the hood and start touching.
SPN/Doctor Who crossover. In which Dean meets Eleven, the Impala turns out to be more than both expected and the premise is just fucking awesome and hilarious. I wish there was more of it.

How the Apocalypse 2.0 was Really Averted. by Inked Insanity (nights_fang)
In what would forever be known as the most mind-boggling plot twist, in the end the Apocalypse wasn't stopped by heroic sacrifices, witty plans, any development of eleventh hour superpowers, or even simply hugging it out. It was averted by 'Mating Season' for supernaturally affected cars kicking in, and Bobby and Adam Young being the only sane men around.
SPN/Good Omens crossover. Pure, glorious and utter crack. I read this during work (yeah, shame on me ;P) and I had such a hard time not bursting into a fit of giggles and grinning around madly.

Castiel/Crowley. Just a short drabble, but exactly what I was looking for after the season finale. *purrs*

This is another one I discovered through a podfic (the link is somewhere in the comments, I think). It's disturbing and chilling and oh-so very, very good. Perfect, if you like angst and a little bit of mindfuck.

An investigation of some unusual electrical storms in Seattle leads the Winchesters undercover in a gay fraternity.
Discovered through podfic. A pure fun read with lovely jokes (among them one about RPG players XD), some serious conversations and wonderful brother-ness between Sam and Dean. Me likes!

Some people have diaries; Kurt has Azimio, his French partner for the last year and change. Confident that Azimio doesn’t understand a word he’s saying, he’s been telling Azimio everything – including what Karofsky’s done to him. And Azimio, who just doesn’t want to have to talk to Kurt, is actually a genius at French.
One-sided Karofsky/Kurt. This is not a fun fic. But it's a good fic. It's perfectly in character, wonderfully written and explains just so much about everything concerning the Karofsky situation - why he's such an asshole and why I still manage to like him so much. The sequel manages to be even more depressing. Look out for the podfic link in there - this is the one that actually started my podfic craze. ;)

Edmund/Caspian. Because I rewatched the Dawn Treader a couple of days ago and this is just a beautiful, beautiful fic, sad and lovely and magical all the same.

Oh, es gibt da echt, echt großartige SPN fic, vor allem auch richtig lange Geschichten!
