Napola, Fight Club and DSDS

Just back from my friend, watching all of the things mentioned above and woah, Napola is such. An. Awesome. Movie. And full of slash potential, you wouldn't believe it. (Or you probably would, huh, Nina? *winks*)
But gosh, so heart-breaking. *sighs*

I mean, movies dealing with National Socialism always tend to freak me out, because the absurdity of everything just causes my brain to implode. And then there's this wonderfully, wonderfully told story about those two boys who fall in love become friends and it's just all the more heart-wrenching... *sniffles*

But while watching the movie I sometimes really got that certain Harry Potter feeling, because of the whole boarding school setting and because Albrecht kind of reminded me of Draco Malfoy (son of a wealthy family, living in a huge mansion, being under pressure because of expectations of his father...). Of course, you can't compare HP with Napola, but still...

Anyway, great movie. I think I'm gonna go and read some of ninamalfoy's Napola fics now. ;P (Actually, I only watched the movie because I've seen her mention it quite often and because she writes fic about it.)

Oh, and the second of the Enns brothers it out of DSDS. Which is quite fine with me, because I only like them together. *g* And I think there's another little ficlet about them coming ahead...

Heee. Yeah, you're right - the family dynamics have some parallels, even if the sons' personalities are reversed - Draco's a meanie, Albrecht's a sweetie, to put it short. *g*

Of course, you're right, but I think Albrecht's actor himself does have a certain Draco streak around him. He probably could easily play a mean character as well. *hehe*

Yeah, I'm gonna work myself through your Napola fics (I mean, hey! There's actually fic about it and from a great author nonetheless! ;) ) and since I have my own I-Net now, I'll actually have the time and opportunity to leave you some feedback. *g*

Re Napola icons: I have more on my icons website (here), by the way. :-)

And yeah, Tom Schilling could be an asshole just as well. If you watch the extras on the movie DVD, there are shots of him sitting around and smoking and my, he looks totally badass there, yes. *grins*

Aw, that's too much praise, really. *blushes* And wheee, own i-net! Though this can be a huge source for addiction, I've found in the last years... ;-)

@Napola icons: Dammit! I didn't plan on taking one because I don't have a paid account, but they were all so pretteh that I had to take one. *sigh* Thanks for the hint, though, ;)

Own i-net is Heaven and Hell all rolled into one thing! *g* It's only been like what? 3 days or so and I already spent more time in front of my stupid PC than can be actually good for me. *coughs*
