So DDos attacks? Daaaaamn. You only realise how addicted and dependent you are on LJ, when you don't have access to it anymore. *sighs* Especially if you want to dabble in a new fandom and are all "but I want want want fic/icons/stuff!". Because LJ is seemingly the only place in the internet where you can get anything fandom.

Speaking of fandom: Inkheart! Farid = completely head over heels in love with Dustfinger, y/y? :D I just read that scene where Farid arrives at Inkworld and meets Dustfinger again and it's all: blushing! Who's that stupid woman? I don't want to share Dustfinger! More blushing! Even more fawning! And I just kept grinning and grinning while reading. XD Funnily enough, I am slightly obsessing over Mo/Dustfinger instead, although Farid/Dustfinger are so terribly canon obvious. Maybe just because of that. Or maybe because they are so deliciously complicated and multi-layered and angsty. :D

*nods and groans* Feel my pain when I thought, "Hey, I can hit up delicious for new and shiny ficcage!" And then the realization that almost every link on there is to... yeah, LiveJournal. FML. At least there's AO3...

Same here with me - I kept forgetting that LJ was down and each night after work I'd get home and think: "And now some ficcage and fanvids! - Oh, wait ... Damn."

I've come to absolutely adore AO3, not only because it's a different source for fic, the standards over there are pretty high compared to, let's say FF.net, so you usually find good fic.
