DSA - Behind the Throne - The Road So Far

Yaaaay. So it's been while since my last entry, but that's because we've been on a break for 2 weeks.
Last time, we stormed Bomit and Ober-Bomit (almost dying several times in the process) and then had a final confrontation with Darian's uncle and his witch - who was indeed a very powerful and nasty witch and working with demons. My character was unconscious at that time and couldn't take part in the fight, but it was tough and the others almost also died.
So we took Bomit, but the castle was still under Darian's hand. However, he was stuck in there with about 500 men and low rations so it was only a matter of time until he would give up. We had negotiations and he agreed to leave the barony forever while we could take back the castle. He also told us that Timor was planning an attack with 3000 men on the Galahanists currently residing outside the gates of Vinsalt. And he made hints that Geron was a Timor supporter.
Geron finally had all his insignia back and now only needs to be crowned again by the Praios church.
A couple of days passed (and that's where our session today started) and everyone is trying to do something useful around Bomit. Except Raoul who mostly just hangs around with the city guards and drinks. That is, until Geron asks us to meet up with Ralman of Firdayon-Bethana as ambassadors to exchange informations. Ralman is Timor'solder brother uncle (? JFC how am I supposed to remember all those relations) and also leading an army against the Galahanists.
[Sidenote: I just read in the the DSA wiki that Ralman's appearance may have been inspired by Russell Crowe in Master and Commander which I'm not quite seeing? But who gives a fuck, RUSSELL CROWE.

ALL THE SCREECHING IN THE WORLD.]
We had to do some scouting for him, travelled to Kuslik to check out the current situation and what the Galahanists were up to, gave him the information and then prepared for battle. Eilin then snuck into the enemy's camp and put laxatives into some of their food which weakened their army for the upcoming battle. Then we won. BAM.
Roleplaying wise, we had some interesting conversations about believing in things, what we think is "home" and the cruelty of the world. Raoul made some pretty cynical and resigned comments about that, but he also gave in and agreed to a bet that was suggested by Eilin: if he stays sober through this entire throne war, she'll go to Chorhop with him. Explanation: Chorhop is a city in the south of Aventurien where everything is ruled by money, everyone can be bribed and gambling is everyday business. Aka Raoul's Mecca? XD Since he cannot resist a good bet, he accepted. Oh, talking about betting? He lost 23 gold coins at gambling. Which is a LOT.
Oh, and Eilin almost got caught by bounty hunters because she's wanted for thievery in Kuslik.

Date: 2013-07-08 07:01 pm (UTC)(Seriously, though, I really like that movie and I have the first books of the Aubrey/Maturin series on my to-read-shelf, I REALLY NEED TO GET AROUND TO READ THEM)
Yeah, I don't really see it either? But there's this picture of him in another book (http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/ayascythe/6845128/204369/204369_original.png) and there's a little similarity if you squint? *shrugs* I don't care either way, but I like the idea that he could look like Russell Crowe so that'll be my headcanon for now. XD

BITTE BITTE SCHAU IHN, DU WIRST ES NICHT BEREUEN *w*
