6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
Definitely male. Part of it certainly has to do with the fact that I mostly write slash and am more interested in the male characters (shame on me). But writing male characters is also my way of putting my whole heart into a story and feeling the emotions, the pain, the joy, the drama, without getting lost in them or fearing to drift off into some sort of self-insert. I know this is kind of ridiculous, because writing is laying your heart open for all to see and it is always sort of a self-insert. But writing a male character feels like a last protective barrier between me and the character and the people reading. *is weird*
7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Huh, that's a very good question, actually. A fic that I wrote? Not to such extreme extents, but writing about a character and simply investing time thinking about him/her mostly makes me love them more than I did before. Ultraverse is probably a good example; I never expected to develop such an investment in that stupid Ultra.
