... which is entirely
3ngel's fault, I might add. *glares* And I seriously put way too much thought into this and I'm stil not happy with some of the choices. Why is it so hard to find a female version of Tony Stark/Robert Downey Jr.??? *pulls at hair*
(Also note that I tried to tinge every character pic with their respective superhero-colour. XD)

Catherine Zeta Jones, because she was the first actress that came to my mind. She's gorgeous and glamorous and can be badass, too (Chicago!).

Alternatively, I was thinking about Helena Bonham Carter, because she could pull off Tony's special brand of crazy very well, I think. But then, she's almost a little too crazy and doesn't quite look the part ... So, I don't know, maybe a mash-up of both?

Candice Accola! At first, it was just a fleeting idea, but then I liked it more and more. I was looking for a natural beauty for Cap, someone who could pull off friendly, stubborn and yet kick-ass, and we've seen Candice give us all of it as Caroline. So yeah, Candice for Cap!

Maggie Gyllenhaal, because I think she'd fit into the role of a calm, slightly geeky scientist with rage problems.

Eliza Dushku, because how could I not? She can pull off snarky asshole perfectly (Faaaaaith <3) and then I saw this pic and it was decided. XD

Bradley Cooper, because I wanted someone undeniably hot like Scarlett, but also with people skills for covert missions and who would look convincing as a secret agent. Plus, he has also curls and looks good in leather (jackets)!

Katie Cassidy, because we've seen in Supernatural that she looks kick-ass while fighting, she doesn't look too delicate and has that huge, beaming gorgeous smile like Thor. I think she could make it work.

Marion Cotillard, because if you've seen her as Mal in Inception, then you know that she can do "twisted and cunning" pretty great. And she just looks ... different, in a very good, very special way.

Date: 2012-02-13 09:06 pm (UTC)Clint has a 2-minute appearance in Thor, so I'm assuming his characterisation is from the comics. Considering he also gets slashed a lot with Coulson, that has to be from the comics, too - or those 2 minutes of them interacting? XD (Same thing here with Natasha; I mean, she has quite some screentime in Iron Man 2, but it's not like we ever get to know anything relevant about her ...)
And that's just something I find so fascinating about this fandom, how both canons just intertwine and people just work with the little they've got and fill the holes with things from the comics.

Date: 2012-02-13 09:17 pm (UTC)Yeah, ok... I guess there's a lot from the comics, because so many different writers use the same backgrounds for stuff we don't see in the movies, it can't all be headcanon.
