Extrem Laut Und Unglaublich Nah/Extremely loud and incredibly close by Jonathan Safran Foer
I still don't know what to say or do about this book. *is confused*
Iron Man Noir by Scott Snyder
Heh, my crush on Marvel fandom continues and I actually start buying comics. Oh dear. (Still need to get my hands on Civil War, though.)
Evil? by Timothy Carter
Short and entertaining!
Emil und die Detektive / Emil und die drei Zwillinge by Erich Kästner
<3
Zero at the Bone (Zero at the Bone, #1) by Jane Seville
I totally read this because the author is the same as the one who wrote the famous Brokeback Mountain fic Human Interest, but Zero at the Bone was a bit of a let-down. Huh.
Zwei an einem Tag/One Day by David Nicholls
I hate romance novels with a passion but this one was actually good, maybe because it didn't feel like romance at all.

Oh Marvel! Too bad that the comics are so expensive. At the moment I buy the Young Avengers novels but I have also the problem that some DC Comics (Batman! Apollo & Midnighter!) want my attentation! :s
Erich Kästner! ♥
I never heard of "Evil" but I will check it out.
And I know the other two books only through their movies. Maybe I will read them. I heard the books are better than the movies.

Date: 2012-02-18 09:37 pm (UTC)What's keeping me from buying all the comics is that the canon seems so all over the place. It's like there is no right point to start, because there are so many characters and references you don't know about. As a newbie that's kind of mind-boggling.
DC is not so much my cup of tea, but I do like the Nolan!Batman movies and I have fond childhood memories of watching the Wonderwoman tv-show. <3

Date: 2012-02-19 12:23 pm (UTC)Yes, I have the same problem. There are so many editions... but thankfully there are only few books with the Young Avengers.
Nolan!Batman and the wonderful animation movie "Batman: Under the Red Hood" are the reason that I want to know more about Batman... or more about the various Robins. <3

So you got into Avengers fandom via the movies? I was so thrilled to see hordes of Marvel fen at the 3-Sätze-Challenge, until I remembered - 'wait, movies! they must have been converted by those!' But I'm not complaining! The movies are great and their characterisation very true to the comics in my opinion.
