Finally, I get a chance to write a little about the match yesterday. I've been on the move since yesterday afternoon and only got about four hours of sleep, because Lou and I went into a disco after the match. (Yay! for actually having some RL again.)
Random notes on that: I'm obviously doomed to be Lou's new plaything since I got my new haircut. She keeps ruffling my hair when she has nothing to do - although she perfectly knows I don't like it, because it'll look horrible afterwards. (It's still long enough to make a perfectly fine ponytail, y'know? Maybe I should just switch back to my old habit. :P) - Also, I think I'm developping quite a huge faible for Tequila shots.
Anyway. Match.
The mood was great, the stadium stuffed, my nerves were fluttering and the sky was beautiful that night (just like on the picture, I swear... Baden summernights are easily one of the most awesome things in this world).
But. Oh man. The referee was so friggin' biased. Honestly, I'm saying this as someone who doesn't always understand what's going on and has already trouble figuring out why some players get yellowcarded. It was that obvious.
And Hanke? Totally needs to get spanked for playing so dirty on Maik. Preferably with Maik doing the spanking. (If I weren't so tired and Hanke not so fugly, I'd probably already have written something kinky about them. As it is, the lovely Eiskalter Engel already did it: go and read it! *pimps*)
Also, if he'd gotten a (well-deserved) red card for that, we could've won. *pouts*
Still, just seeing that one goal being made by Maik (perfectly in my view) was a wonderful moment and somehow made it all worthwhile. (And aww, guess who was the first to throw his arms around Maik? Riiiight, our lovely Swiss captain. *waves OTP-flag*)
Moreover, I just love the fact that Maik was the one to make the first goal in the Wildparkstadium. So lovely and wonderful and almost kind of symbolic. He's on his best way to become a club-legend.
Either way, live football really is inspiring. If I'm in the right mood tomorrow, there even might be some Maiki/Kappes smut. And/or Maik/Mike. We'll see about that. *yawns widely* Either way, I'm heading for bed now. Just one more thing for tonight:
